As of 17:40 UTC, our Operations team noticed some performance degradation on ManageBac and OpenApply. Both systems are currently experiencing issues due to an Amazon AWS S3 outage. We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide an update here when we know more.
[Update: 19:15 UTC] We have implemented a partial fix to allow ManageBac users to work with their student data. Images and uploads are currently not available due to the continuing Amazon AWS S3 outage. We continue to actively monitor the situation and will provide updates when we know more.
[Update: 20:15 UTC] Amazon continues to struggle to restore service to its users (including us). As of 19:35 UTC they report they have identified the cause of the problem, but they are not yet providing an ETA for a fix.
[Update: 21:40 UTC] As of 21:12 UTC, Amazon informed that S3 object retrieval, listing and deletion are fully recovered now. They are still working to recover normal operations for adding new objects to S3. ManageBac should be fully operational by 23:00 UTC.
[Update: 22:20 UTC] As of 21:49 UTC, Amazon informed that they are fully recovered for operations for adding new objects in S3, which was their last operation showing a high error rate. The Amazon S3 service is operating normally.
ManageBac is fully operational. We appreciate your patience with the issue.
